Meet Dr. Nube Escobar
Dr. Nube R. Escobar is a dual-licensed clinician, holding credentials both as a Doctor of Audiology and as a Speech-Language Pathologist. She completed her Speech-Language Pathology studies at Universidad del Valle-Cali and The Catholic University in Colombia before earning her Doctorate of Audiology from A.T. Still University in 2018.
Her education combines strong academic foundations from Colombia with advanced training in the United States. She extended her professional knowledge by assisting with Speech-Language Pathology programs at Columbia University in New York and Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, ensuring compliance with American clinical and regulatory standards. In addition, she was awarded a Master of Science in Occupational Health in 2004, further broadening her expertise in health and patient care.
With over twenty-five years of combined clinical experience, Dr. Escobar has trained and practiced in hospital settings, including acute care, inpatient, and outpatient rehabilitation. She has worked extensively in ENT specialized clinics in Orlando, South Florida ENT, Mount Sinai, and Aventura. Additionally, she has practiced in acute facilities such as Central Florida Regional Hospital Trauma Center and Advent Health Hospitals, where she gained expertise in complex medical cases involving speech, language, swallowing, and hearing. This diverse background enables her to deliver precise and compassionate care to a wide range of patients.
Dr. Escobar has a special interest in hearing aids, cochlear implants, tinnitus management, and balance disorders. She has extensive expertise working with all major manufacturers and brands of hearing aids, ensuring that patients receive the most advanced and appropriate technology for their needs. In addition, she provides comprehensive care in cochlear implantation, from candidacy evaluation to programming, fitting, and rehabilitation.
She is a proud member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), the gold standard of professional excellence in her field. Dr. Escobar is licensed to practice in both New York and Florida, further expanding her ability to serve diverse patient populations.
As the founder of Hearing Speech Care, she is known for her patient-centered, bilingual, and bicultural approach. Dr. Escobar is deeply committed to improving communication, swallowing, and hearing health in her community, ensuring that every patient receives individualized care tailored to their unique needs.
